These days (March, 3rd to 5th) is being celebrated the "Industry 4.0 Congress" at Barcelona. We are attending it, as some of the conferences and talks are related to soft competences, one of the topics analysed in our Language and Occupation research project.
In particular, and related to innovation, the conference organised by Nissan has shown how technological developments (IA, robotics, etc.) are increasing exponentially in a very different way and speed that workers do. Among the reasons provided to explain such differences are that people's knowledge and competences remain almost stable or with very few increase. That's why, Nissan is asking for more workers with higher levels of soft competences.
